I have an R1 2005th The size of the rear tires 190 50 17. Ive had Dunlop Coming off values. I then witch Micheline Pilot Powers is a soft tire, is not it? So, wear a tire faster than normal? I use my bike for the long journey and from time to time with the guys, so I would like that a tire will last long. I called a dealer and was told that the Bridgestone BT021 is a durable tire with more rubber? I need advice. I do not want less than they paid for the pilot power is only $ 165 for the unenstalled back.

Avon Storms, Metzler Z6, Continental Road Attacks - These are my favs. They have the best clubs and best use ... 5k - 8k depending on how you drive on them. Some of Michelin and Dunlop LS swear I have no good experience with them.

So check it out! If you are traveling with only occasional forays into the wind Walk on a Dunlop Qualifier. not difficult to do more soft and is of a similar string in the GP208 tires used by most all who do not make a hole in the wallet together!

Pilot Powers are nice and sticky, but made about 3k miles.

I was a pilot project for the use of roads by about 6 months, but show only about 2000 miles on them, do little wear and nothing from the middle of. Profile is that these forces, and they feel really stable at any angle. The pilot felt something of Power On / Off, because both were straight or solid angle, not the best, while in traffic movements and climate change.

Pilot Roads are also very good in the wet and squirrels, the feeling is inclined in the rain almost disappeared (although, of course, when it rains) attention.

I have no experience with the BT021, but I like my Pilot Roads.

Good luck man, I asked the same question here about 4 times and never a solid answer. I aksed if a tire of the sport wioll least 4.000 miles beneath the heavy horses. And the people behaved as an indication that the tires 4.000 miles and does not require that you ... I asked about riding and BS charteristics people coudnt answer me. So, what do my own research Iv'e heard legthly the Michelin Pilot Sport is a barrel of Travel occtional with most of the focus well on normal everyday driving d seems to be able to get about 6500 miles on them rear tires. Décion I still havent made a new tire was going to buy in, but I'm similar to the Diablo Corsa III Pirllei.

Generally Metzeler more miles than other brands and keep very well.

If you choose to push more miles and not too difficult a sport-touring tires, as the Z6. If you use the sticky M3 exceptional. Keep your tire pressure at recommended maximum on the wheel (there is a sticker on the swingarm).

To keep prices low 180/55-17 can also get a better handling and less expensive. The 190 is actually used only for the stability at high speed and if you are commuting is unlikely that more than 150 mph

I'm not a fan or power Dunlop me. always trying different tires, until like a. Ill use one of them is ideal.

They are rigid and durable.

I drive the BT021 (180 55 17) ... I commute ~ 600 m / wk. Ride is especially roads in 80 + and Ortega (Twisties moderate) a day. I have more than 10 miles and around 7,500 in the back (what a scam nail in about 2500, so just replace the rear). I still have a lot to go on the back left. At this rate, I believe, will replace the two 12k. I plan Metz basic reactions of other drivers, but do not complain about the BTS. Comment to maintain constant air pressure can not be overemphasized. I go with the 37-39 (cold) PSI front and 39-42 (rear cold PSI). I climbed up on a R1200RT not as fast and aggressive than the R1, and the weight differences between the geometry can affect comparisons of abrasion. HTH

Adolf, you have a R1! If you travel a lot, so I do not dwell on sports tires.
Michelin has introduced a new dual-compound tires for visiting sports, but I do not know the name.
If you saw the ad for Michelin with Nicky Hayden, the clincher is!
The Bridgestone tires are also good.
You will notice that the pilot powers are a compound twice as well, but are smoother around the compound, at a turning point because they need the support of the power of the latest sports bike.
Make sure when checking many trips to their tire pressure at least once every two or three days before the start for a walk with the kids!
