Is commercial auto insurance much more expensive than personal? - commercial auto insurance policy

I have a small business, Mr. Fix-it on the side and made a few tools in my car. I think to buy a car insurance commercial. Is it more expensive to staff and how much?

Good question.

The answer varies.

But the big question is whether someone write a policy with you. Here are the data - for a time 15 years ago have been some people who try to avoid paying, charges for accidents, which call themselves as "entrepreneurs" and make your vehicle into a company policy. However, losses were fired, and the insurance company has its way.

So if you have less than 5 vehicles, and registered in a name, most insurance companies do not put them in a company policy that unless a "business" class - such as truck, taxi and limousine service vehicles of delivery. Of course, one is in those categories this company is much, much more expensive for a trade policy to insure that a vehicle) by the type of service (to and from work. The only time it really is cheaper if you have a large fleet of vehicles - at least 5 to come but the price of serious mistakes, if you are above 20.

So, in a word - unless the truck is registered to a company, andor not to anyone, except for promoting it in trade policy - and then it is more expensive than a personal policy.

HEL * Oh YES! I have tried to communicate. Insurance runs $ 300 to $ 500 per month. If you are a company that has a lot of money, it's worth. For pizza delivery, was not a good idea.
